I decided to do some more doodling this week. It's still part of my 'Black and White' collection. Can you see the fairies hidden in this lady's leafy coiffure? I think they might be the residents from the little houses I've been creating at The Artful Gathering class. This year our wonderful teacher, Mary Jane Chadbourne has been inspiring us to create Tinytopia, a little village just about the right size to house a fairy community! For obvious reasons, we can't blog Work in Progress pics; but when my village is built I'll post it on my blog so that you can see where these tiny folk usually reside!
And here is a full face doodle of another flowery and leafy haired lady. To me she looks like Flora, goddess of Spring-time and flowers. Thank you so much for stopping by Magpieheaven. I've kept this post short, as I still wanted to play along with Show Your Face and to visit as many of the other artists as possible, although life seems very busy. Have a wonderful, creative weekend everyone. I can't wait to see the faces this week!
I love all those little fairies hiding in her hair, what a wonderful drawing! Really well done!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Valerie
I commented in another place of yours, but I wanted to tell you here how much I love your lovely lady, and how caring she is to house little fairies in her hair. That's true love.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Oh to have fairies nestled in my hair, I could not think of anything more joyful than that! Imagine opening the curtains on a dreich morning to then pause for thought and take note that all is well with the world as there will be some mischief and joy surrounding the day all because of those dear little fairies.
ReplyDeleteAdore the character you brought to the face of Flora, she has a sympathetic gaze.
