WOYWW - It's a Wrap!

Good Morning Visitors to my nest and much loved Followers. I'm linking a bit later today, as life in the nest is very busy. And looking around Blogland that seems to be the case for other crafters far and wide. Here is a view of my terribly messy desk on this October morning. I'm hovering above it on my busily flapping wings! As you can see the table is in chaos as I hurry to complete tags and birthday cards in time for my daughter's twentieth birthday on Friday!
I keep all my OIPE bits in plastic wallets so I can get them out and arrange them on projects. Acronyms are all the rage in crafty blogland. Darnell is the Queen of Acronyms and now I've got the bug - OIPE is my acronym for - in case you hadn't guessed - One I prepared earlier! And talking of acronyms in case you're wondering why I'm showing you my mess, or what the title of this blog post means, I suggest you click Here for the best blog hop and the greatest hostess and the loveliest crafters: you will understand why all over the globe we show and tell about our desks and what they have on them every Wednesday.
Now this, I hope, is a prettier picture. It's a completed tag and a secretly wrapped, little hand-sewn notebook I made specially for my daughter, Matilda's birthday on Friday. It's wrapped in rose-decorated tissue, which we both love. I was lucky enough to have what's inside chosen as one of the Top 3 in the Artistic Outpost September Referral, which really made me feel like I was walking on Cloud Nine!  My husband and I have bought Matilda a beautiful watch, which I have to make another tag for. I now tend to give family tags rather than cards, as they can hang these in their rooms for a while.
Our kitchen is still a Work in Progress, or WIP if we're carrying on the acronym theme! Kevin assures us that he is crafting away at those cupboards, so let's hope so ... but, Helen, just in case, have you enrolled in a kitchen-fitting evening class yet? I will take pictures of the dilapidated hovel we're cooking in, in the hope that I'll soon have some lovely contrasting ones to post on a WOYWW in the future! Meanwhile have a lovely day, my dear crafting friends. I'm going to the Globe Theatre today, taking our son to see Macbeth as his birthday treat. He's not been at all well with panic attacks and black-outs due to anxiety and severe depression. He is now looking for voluntary work and I am so proud of the efforts he's making. OK then, it's a wrap, as they say! Now I must try to fit in some desks before we go out. Happy WOYWW!

  6. Poor lad, panic attacks are just awful. I suffered from them for years and got quite scared to leave the house in case I had one in public. I'm sure he'll have a great time at the globe, it's such a fab theatre. Happy birthday to your daughter, gorgeous tag. Glad to hear the kitchen is making progress. Well done on the Artistic Outpost. Hugs. Pam#41
